Musnad Ahmad 25:326

I read to Abd al-Rahman, from Malik, from Makhramah ibn Sulayman, from Kurayb, the freed slave of Ibn Abbas, that Abdullah ibn Abbas informed him that he spent the night at the house of Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and she was his maternal aunt. He said: I lay down across the width of the pillow, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and his wife lay down along its length. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, slept until, when it was the middle of the night, or a little before it, or a little after it, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, awoke. He sat up, wiping the sleep from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten verses of Surah Al-Imran. Then he stood up to a hanging water skin and performed ablution from it, and he performed his ablution well. Then he stood to pray. Ibn Abbas said: So I stood and did the same as he had done. Then I went and stood by his side. He placed his right hand on my head and took my right ear and twisted it. He prayed two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then two rak'ahs, then he performed the Witr prayer. Then he lay down until the caller to prayer came to him, so he stood up and prayed two light rak'ahs, then he went out and prayed the morning prayer.
