Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:338
'Abd al-Quddus ibn Bakr ibn Khunays narrated to us, al-Hajjaj narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, besieged the people of Ta'if. Two slaves came out to him, so he emancipated them, one of whom was Abu Bakrah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to emancipate slaves when they came out to him."
حدثنا عبد القدوس بن بكر بن خنيس، حدثنا الحجاج، عن الحكم، عن مقسم، عن ابن عباس، قال: " حاصر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أهل الطائف، فخرج إليه عبدان، فأعتقهما، أحدهما أبو بكرة، وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يعتق العبيد إذا خرجوا إليه "
