Musnad Ahmad 25:389

Nasr ibn Bab Abu Sahl narrated to us in Shawwal in the year one hundred and eighty-one, from al-Hajjaj, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed Tawaf around the House, and he began to touch the Stone with his staff. Then, after he finished, he came to the watering place (as-Siqayah), while his cousins were drawing water from it. He said: "Hand it to me." So the bucket was raised for him, and he drank. Then he said: "Were it not that the people would take it as a ritual and overcome you for it, I would have drawn water with you." Then he went out and performed Sa'i between as-Safa and al-Marwah.
