Hadith 25:428
Sa'd ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Salih, from Ibn Shihab, that Sulayman ibn Yasar informed him that Ibn Abbas informed him: That a woman from Khath'am sought a legal ruling from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and al-Fadl ibn Abbas was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, the obligation of Allah regarding Hajj has reached my father when he is a very old man who cannot steady himself upon the mount. Shall I perform the Hajj on his behalf?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to her: "Yes." Al-Fadl ibn Abbas began to turn toward her, and she was a beautiful woman. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took hold of al-Fadl and turned his face to the other side.
