Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:43
Mu'ammar—meaning Ibn Sulayman al-Raqqi—narrated to us, he said: Khasif said: More than one person narrated to me, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, only forbade the solid-colored [garment] from it, but as for the patterned [garment], then no."
حدثنا معمر يعني ابن سليمان الرقي، قال: قال خصيف، حدثني غير واحد، عن ابن عباس، قال: " إنما نهى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، عن المصمت منه، فأما العلم فلا "
