Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Ibn Hubayrah, from Maymun al-Makki: That he saw Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, and he prayed with them, "He would gesture with his palms when he stood, and when he bowed, and when he prostrated, and when he rose to stand, so he would stand and gesture with his hands." He said: So I went to Ibn Abbas and said to him: "I have seen Ibn al-Zubayr pray a prayer the likes of which I have not seen anyone pray," and I described this gesture to him. He said: "If you wish to look at the prayer of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, then follow the prayer of Ibn al-Zubayr."
