* 2327 - Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and I heard it from him, Jarir narrated to us, from Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, from Abd al-Malik ibn Sa'id, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "I am your forerunner at the Basin (al-Hawd). Whoever reaches it shall succeed. Then groups of people will be brought, and they will be taken towards the left. I will say: 'O my Lord!' It will be said: 'They did not cease, after you, to turn back upon their heels.'" * 2328 - Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and I heard it from him, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Layth ibn Abi Sulaym, from Abd al-Malik ibn Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to be optimistic and did not practice pessimism, and he liked a good name." * 2329 - Uthman ibn Muhammad narrated to us, and I heard it from Uthman ibn Muhammad, Jarir narrated to us, from Layth, from Abd al-Malik ibn Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, attributing it to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "He is not of us who does not honor the elder, show mercy to the young, enjoin the good, and forbid the evil."
