Ya'qub and Sa'd narrated to us, they said: My father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, he said: And Muhammad ibn Talhah ibn Yazid ibn Rukanah narrated to me, from Isma'il ibn Ibrahim al-Shaybani, from Ibn Abbas, he said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, ordered the stoning of the Jew and the Jewess at the gate of his mosque. When the Jew felt the touch of the stones, he stood over his companion, shielding her to protect her from the touch of the stones, until they were both killed. This was among what Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, did for His Messenger in confirming the adultery from them."
