Ya'qub narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, al-Zuhri narrated to me, from Tawus al-Yamani, who said: I said to Abdullah ibn Abbas: They claim that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Perform ghusl on the day of Jumu'ah, and wash your heads, even if you are not in a state of janabah, and apply some perfume." He said: Ibn Abbas replied: "As for the perfume, I do not know, but as for the ghusl, then yes."
