Abu Salamah narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Farqad as-Sabakhi, from Sa’id bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas: That a woman came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with a son of hers, and she said: "This son of mine has madness; it seizes him at our lunch and our dinner, and he causes us distress." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wiped his chest and supplicated. Then he (the boy) let out a retch—meaning he coughed—and there came out from his interior something like a black puppy.
