Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:567
Abu Sa’id narrated to us, Za’idah narrated to us, Simak narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no contagion, no superstition, no *safar*, and no *hamah." (Simak mentioned that *safar* is a worm that is in the belly of a human). A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about camels that have mange among a hundred, and it infects them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Then who infected the first one?"
حدثنا أبو سعيد، حدثنا زائدة، حدثنا سماك، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لا عدوى ولا طيرة، ولا صفر ولا هام " - فذكر سماك أن الصفر: دابة تكون في بطن الإنسان -، فقال رجل: يا رسول الله، تكون في الإبل الجربة في المائة، فتجربها، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " فمن أعدى الأول؟ "
