Musnad Ahmad 25:572

Mu'ammal narrated to us, he said: Hammad narrated to us, he said: 'Ali ibn Zayd narrated to us, from Yusuf ibn Mihran, from Ibn 'Abbas: That a woman whose husband was away came to a man to buy something from him. He said: "Enter the storage room so I can give you [what you need]." She entered, and he kissed her and squeezed her. She said: "Woe to you! I am a woman whose husband is away." So he left her, and he regretted what he had done. He came to 'Umar and informed him of what he had done. He said: "Woe to you! Perhaps she is a woman whose husband is away?" He said: "Indeed, she is a woman whose husband is away." He said: "Go to Abu Bakr and ask him." He went to Abu Bakr and informed him. Abu Bakr said: "Woe to you! Perhaps she is a woman whose husband is away?" He said: "Indeed, she is a woman whose husband is away." He said: "Go to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and inform him." He came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and informed him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Perhaps she is a woman whose husband is away?" He said: "Indeed, she is a woman whose husband is away." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained silent, and the Quran was revealed: "And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night" [Hud: 114] until His saying: "for those who remember" [Hud: 114]. The man said: "O Messenger of Allah, is this for me specifically, or for the people generally?" 'Umar said: "No, and may you have no delight of the eye! Rather, it is for the people generally." The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, laughed and said: "'Umar has spoken the truth."
