Musnad Ahmad 25:58

Sufyan narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Ibn Wa'lah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Any hide that is tanned, it has become pure."
