Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:583
Surayj narrated to us, 'Abbad—meaning Ibn al-'Awwam—narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from al-Hakam, from Abu al-Qasim Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, proposed to Maymunah bint al-Harith, and she placed her affair in the hands of al-'Abbas, so the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, married her."
حدثنا سريج، حدثنا عباد يعني ابن العوام، عن الحجاج، عن الحكم، عن أبي القاسم مقسم، عن ابن عباس: " أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، خطب ميمونة بنت الحارث، فجعلت أمرها إلى العباس، فزوجها النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم "
