Surayj narrated to us, 'Abbad narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from al-Hakam, from Miqsam, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Muslims killed a man from the polytheists on the day of the Trench. They (the polytheists) sent a messenger to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, demanding the blood money for his corpse. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "He is indeed wicked, his blood money is wicked, and his corpse is wicked." So he left him to them.
