مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:610
Husayn narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Ikrimah, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "When Hilal ibn Umayyah accused his wife of adultery, it was said to him: 'By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) will surely lash you eighty lashes.' He said: 'Allah is more just than that He should strike me eighty blows, when He knows that I have seen until I was certain, and I have heard until I was certain. No, by Allah, he will never strike me.' He said: Then the verse of *Li'an* (the imprecation) was revealed."
حدثنا حسين، حدثنا جرير، عن أيوب، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عباس، قال: " لما قذف هلال بن أمية امرأته، قيل له: والله ليجلدنك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ثمانين جلدة، قال: الله أعدل من ذلك أن يضربني ثمانين ضربة، وقد علم أني قد رأيت حتى استيقنت، وسمعت حتى استيقنت، لا والله لا يضربني أبدا، قال: فنزلت آية الملاعنة "
