Musnad Ahmad 25:618

Abu Ahmad narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ali ibn Badhimah, Qays ibn Habtar narrated to me, he said: I asked Ibn Abbas about the white jar, the green jar, and the red jar. He said: "The first to ask the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was the delegation of Abd al-Qays. They said: 'We obtain dregs (of wine), so which vessels (should we use)?' He said: 'Do not drink from the gourd, the pitch-coated vessel, the hollowed-out log, or the green glazed jar, but drink from the waterskins.'" Then he said: "Indeed, Allah has forbidden upon me—or he said: He has forbidden wine, gambling, the *kubah*, and every intoxicant is forbidden." Sufyan said: I said to Ali ibn Badhimah: "What is the *kubah*?" He said: "The drum."
