Musnad Ahmad 25:636

Muhammad ibn Sabiq narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, who said: "Which of the two recitations was the final one: the recitation of Abdullah or the recitation of Zayd?" He said: We said: "The recitation of Zayd." He said: "No. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to present the Quran to Jibril once every year. When it was the year in which he passed away, he presented it to him twice, and the final recitation was the recitation of Abdullah."
