Hadith 25:689
'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Najih narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah ibn Kathir, from Abu al-Minhal, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived while they were practicing *salam* (forward sales). He said: "Whoever practices *salam* must not practice it except in a known measure and a known weight."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا عبد الوارث، حدثنا عبد الله بن أبي نجيح، عن عبد الله بن كثير، عن أبي المنهال، عن ابن عباس، قال: قدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وهم يسلفون، فقال: " من أسلف فلا يسلف إلا في كيل معلوم، ووزن معلوم "
