'Affan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Hanzalah al-Sadusi narrated to us, he said: I said to 'Ikrimah: "I recite in the Maghrib prayer 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak' and 'Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,' and some people criticize me for that." He said: "And what is the harm in that? Recite them, for they are from the Qur'an." Then he said: Ibn 'Abbas narrated to me, "That the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came and prayed two rak'ahs in which he did not recite anything except the Mother of the Book (al-Fatiha)."
