Hadith 25:72
Sufyan narrated to us, Abd al-Aziz ibn Rufay narrated to us, he said: I and Shaddad ibn Ma'qil entered upon Ibn Abbas. Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not leave behind anything except what is between these two covers." And we entered upon Muhammad ibn Ali, and he said the same thing. He said: And al-Mukhtar used to speak of revelation.
حدثنا سفيان، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن رفيع، قال: دخلت أنا وشداد بن معقل، على ابن عباس، فقال ابن عباس: " ما ترك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا ما بين هذين اللوحين " ودخلنا على محمد بن علي فقال مثل ذلك، قال: وكان المختار يقول الوحي . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
