Musnad Ahmad 25:732

Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 25:732

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah and Ayyub, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that a man fell from his riding beast while he was in the state of ihram and died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded that they wash him with water and lotus leaves (sidr), that they shroud him in his two garments, and that they do not cover his head, for he will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah. Ayyub said: "Mulabbidan" (with his hair matted).
