Hadith 25:740
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn Maysarah, who said: I heard Tawus say: Ibn ‘Abbas was asked about this verse: {Say: I do not ask of you for it any reward except affection for the kin} [Ash-Shura: 23]. Sa‘id ibn Jubayr said: "The kin of the family of Muhammad." Ibn ‘Abbas said: "You have been hasty. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was not from any of the clans of Quraysh but that he had kinship among them. So he said: 'Except that you maintain the kinship that exists between me and you.'"
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن عبد الملك بن ميسرة، قال: سمعت طاوسا قال: سئل ابن عباس عن هذه الآية؟ {قل لا أسألكم عليه أجرا إلا المودة في القربى} [الشورى: 23] ، قال: فقال سعيد بن جبير: قربى آل محمد، قال: فقال ابن عباس: " عجلت إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، لم يكن من بطون قريش، إلا كان له فيهم قرابة، فقال: إلا أن تصلوا ما بيني وبينكم من القرابة "
