Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik and Abd al-Jabbar ibn Muhammad narrated to us, they said: Ubayd Allah—meaning Ibn Amr—narrated to us, from Abd al-Karim, from Qays ibn Hubtar, from Ibn Abbas, from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), who said: "Indeed, Allah has forbidden for you intoxicants (khamr), gambling (maysir), and the drum (kubah)." And he said: "Every intoxicant is forbidden."
