Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
مسند عبد الله بن العباس بن عبد المطلب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 25:774
Bahz and ‘Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us, from Qatadah. ‘Affan said: He said: Qatadah narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Zayd, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was solicited for the daughter of Hamzah. He said: "She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding, and that which is forbidden through blood relations is forbidden through breastfeeding." ‘Affan said: "And she is not lawful for me."
حدثنا بهز، وعفان، قالا: حدثنا همام، عن قتادة، قال عفان: قال: حدثنا قتادة، عن جابر بن زيد، عن ابن عباس، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أريد على ابنة حمزة، فقال: " إنها ابنة أخي من الرضاعة، ويحرم من الرضاعة ما يحرم من الرحم - قال عفان - وإنها لا تحل لي "
