Musnad Ahmad 25:789

Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 25:789

'Affan narrated to us, Wuhayb narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked during the Farewell Pilgrimage. A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I shaved before I slaughtered." He gestured with his hand and said: "There is no harm." Another man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I slaughtered before I threw the pebbles." He gestured with his hand and said: "There is no harm." He said: So he was not asked on that day about anything done out of order—whether earlier or later—but that he gestured with his hand and said: "There is no harm."
