Hadith 25:813
Abdullah ibn al-Harith narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Ata informed me that he heard Ibn Abbas saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When one of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand until he licks it or has it licked." Abu al-Zubayr said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah saying: I heard that from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "And let him not lift the platter until he licks it or has it licked, for in the end of the food is the blessing."
حدثنا عبد الله بن الحارث، عن ابن جريج، قال: أخبرني عطاء، أنه سمع ابن عباس، يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا أكل أحدكم من الطعام، فلا يمسح يده حتى يلعقها أو يلعقها " قال أبو الزبير: سمعت جابر بن عبد الله، يقول: ذلك سمعته من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ولا يرفع الصحفة حتى يلعقها أو يلعقها، فإن آخر الطعام فيه البركة "
