Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 25:836
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Abu Yahya al-A’raj, from Ibn Abbas, who said: Two men disputed before the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and the oath fell upon one of them. So he swore by Allah, besides whom there is no god, that he had nothing of his with him. He said: Then Gabriel descended upon the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "He is a liar; he indeed has his right with him." So he commanded him to give him his right, and the expiation for his oath is his knowledge that there is no god but Allah, or his testimony [to it].
