Musnad Ahmad 25:884

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, Hilal narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, looked at Uhud and said: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it would not please me that Uhud be gold for the family of Muhammad, which I would spend in the way of Allah, and I die the day I die while having two dinars of it, except that I would keep them for a debt." He said: So he died and did not leave behind a dinar nor a dirham, nor a male slave nor a female slave, and he left his armor as a pledge with a Jew for thirty sa' of barley.
