Musnad Ahmad 25:89

Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 25:89

Sufyan narrated to us, from ‘Amr, from ‘Ata’, and Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) delayed it [the prayer] until as much of the night as Allah willed had passed. ‘Umar said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, the women and the children have fallen asleep." So he went out and said: "Were it not that it would be difficult for my nation, I would have commanded them to pray it at this hour."
