Musnad Ahmad 25:903

Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sulaym narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Uthman, from Saeed ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The notables of Quraish gathered in the Hijr and made a pact by Al-Lat, Al-Uzza, the third one Manat, and Naila and Isaf: "If we see Muhammad, we will rise against him as one man and will not leave him until we kill him." His daughter Fatima, may Allah be pleased with her, came weeping until she entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "These notables of Quraish have made a pact against you. If they see you, they will rise against you and kill you; there is not a man among them who does not know his share of your blood." He said: "O my daughter, bring me water for ablution." He performed ablution, then entered the mosque upon them. When they saw him, they said: "There he is." They lowered their eyes, their chins fell to their chests, and they remained paralyzed in their seats. They did not raise their eyes toward him, and not a single man among them rose to him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, approached until he stood over them. He took a handful of dust and said: "May the faces be disfigured." Then he threw it at them. There was not a man among them who was struck by a pebble of that dust but that he was killed on the day of Badr as a disbeliever.
