Hadith 25:934
Surayj and Yunus narrated to us, they said: Hammad—meaning Ibn Salamah—narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas: That Quraysh said: "The fever of Yathrib has weakened Muhammad and his companions." When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) arrived in the year he performed the Umrah, he said to his companions: "Perform the *ramal* (brisk walking) around the House for three [circuits], so that the polytheists may see your strength." When they performed the *ramal*, Quraysh said: "They have not been weakened."
حدثنا سريج، ويونس، قالا: حدثنا حماد يعني ابن سلمة، عن أيوب، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس: أن قريشا قالت: إن محمدا وأصحابه قد وهنتهم حمى يثرب، فلما قدم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، لعامه الذي اعتمر فيه، قال لأصحابه: " ارملوا بالبيت ثلاثا ليرى المشركون قوتكم " فلما رملوا، قالت قريش: ما وهنتهم
