Hadith 25:935

Yunus narrated to us, Hammad informed us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Gabriel took Abraham to the Jamrat al-‘Aqabah, and the Devil appeared to him, so he pelted him with seven pebbles, and he sank [into the earth]. Then he brought him to the middle Jamrah, and the Devil appeared to him, so he pelted him with seven pebbles, and he sank. Then he brought him to the furthest Jamrah, and the Devil appeared to him, so he pelted him with seven pebbles, and he sank. When Abraham intended to slaughter his son Isaac, he said to his father: 'O my father, bind me tightly so that I do not struggle, lest some of my blood splashes upon you when you slaughter me.' So he bound him. When he took the blade and intended to slaughter him, he was called from behind: 'O Abraham, you have fulfilled the vision' [As-Saffat: 105]."

حدثنا يونس، أخبرنا حماد، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إن جبريل ذهب بإبراهيم إلى جمرة العقبة، فعرض له الشيطان، فرماه بسبع حصيات، فساخ، ثم أتى به الجمرة الوسطى، فعرض له الشيطان، فرماه بسبع حصيات، فساخ، ثم أتى به الجمرة القصوى، فعرض له الشيطان، فرماه بسبع حصيات، فساخ، فلما أراد إبراهيم أن يذبح ابنه إسحاق، قال لأبيه: يا أبت، أوثقني لا أضطرب، فينتضح عليك من دمي إذا ذبحتني. فشده، فلما أخذ الشفرة فأراد أن يذبحه، نودي من خلفه: {أن يا إبراهيم قد صدقت الرؤيا} [الصافات: 105] "
