Hadith 25:961
Sulayman ibn Harb narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Yusuf ibn Mihran, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Pharaoh said: 'I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe' [Yunus: 90]," he said: "Gabriel said to me: 'O Muhammad, if you could have seen me while I was taking mud from the silt of the sea and stuffing it into his mouth, for fear that the mercy would reach him.'"
حدثنا سليمان بن حرب، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، عن علي بن زيد، عن يوسف بن مهران، عن ابن عباس، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لما قال فرعون: {آمنت أنه لا إله إلا الذي آمنت به بنو إسرائيل} [يونس: 90] "، قال: " قال لي جبريل: يا محمد، لو رأيتني وقد أخذت حالا من حال البحر، فدسيته في فيه، مخافة أن تناله الرحمة "
