'Abd al-Samad and 'Affan—the meaning being the same—narrated to us, saying: Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas: That the sister of 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir vowed to perform Hajj on foot. So she asked the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and he said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, is in no need of your sister's vow. Let her ride, and let her offer a sacrificial animal (badana)."
