Hadith 44:1
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from al-Sa'ib ibn 'Umar, who said: Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib narrated to me, that 'Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib used to lead 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas and station him at the third section from the side of the door, from the side of the Hijr. I said—meaning the speaker was Ibn 'Abbas to 'Abd Allah ibn al-Sa'ib—: "Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stand here or pray here?" He would say: "Yes." So Ibn 'Abbas would stand and pray.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن السائب بن عمر، قال: حدثني محمد بن عبد الله بن السائب، أن عبد الله بن السائب، كان يقود عبد الله بن عباس ويقيمه عند الشقة الثالثة مما يلي الباب، مما يلي الحجر، فقلت: يعني القائل ابن عباس لعبد الله بن السائب: " إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقوم هاهنا أو يصلي هاهنا "؟ فيقول: نعم، فيقوم ابن عباس فيصلي
