Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Hubayrah, from Abu Hubayrah al-Kala'i, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came out to us one day and said: "Indeed, my Lord has forbidden for me wine, gambling, al-mizr (a fermented drink made from corn or barley), al-kubah (a drum), and al-qanin (a stringed instrument)."
