Musnad Ahmad 28:153

Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, Usamah ibn Zayd informed us, from ‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The likeness of the one who takes back what he has gifted is like the likeness of a dog that vomits and then eats from it. And if the giver takes back [the gift], let him be stopped regarding what he took back, then let him return to him what he gifted."
