Musnad Ahmad 28:174

Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, al-Harith ibn Yazid narrated to us, from Jundub ibn Abdullah, that he heard Sufyan ibn 'Awf saying: I heard Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said one day while we were with him: "Glad tidings to the strangers." It was said: Who are the strangers, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "Righteous people among many evil people; those who disobey them are more numerous than those who obey them." He said: And we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) another day when the sun rose, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "People from my nation will come on the Day of Resurrection whose light is like the light of the sun." We said: Who are those, O Messenger of Allah? He said: "The poor among the emigrants, and those through whom hardships are warded off. One of them dies while his need is in his chest; they will be gathered from the regions of the earth."
