Hadith 28:180
Hassan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Huyayy ibn Abdullah narrated to me, from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: A man died in Medina, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed over him, then said: "Oh, would that he had died in other than his birthplace." A man from the people said: "Why, O Messenger of Allah?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, when a man dies in other than his birthplace, it is measured for him from his birthplace to the place where his footsteps end, in Paradise."
