Hadith 28:297
Bahz narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn 'Ata, from Nafi' ibn 'Asim, from Abdullah ibn 'Amr, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever drinks wine and becomes intoxicated, his prayer shall not be accepted for forty nights. If he drinks it and becomes intoxicated, his prayer shall not be accepted for forty nights. If he drinks it and becomes intoxicated, his prayer shall not be accepted for forty nights—the third and the fourth time. If he drinks it, his prayer shall not be accepted for forty nights, and if he repents, Allah will not accept his repentance, and it is a duty upon Allah to give him to drink from the Spring of Khabal." It was said: "And what is the Spring of Khabal?" He said: "The pus of the people of the Fire."
