Musnad Ahmad 28:388

Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sulayman, from 'Abdullah ibn Murrah, from Masruq, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "There are four [traits] which, whoever possesses them, is a hypocrite, or [whoever] possesses one of the four, has a trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks it; when he makes a covenant, he acts treacherously; and when he disputes, he behaves wickedly."
