Musnad Ahmad 28:396

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us, from Matar, from 'Abdullah ibn Buraydah, who said: 'Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad doubted the [existence of the] Basin (al-Hawd). Abu Sabrah—a man from the companions of 'Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad—said to him: "When your father set out as a delegate to Mu'awiyah, I set out with him. I met 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, and he narrated to me, from his mouth to my mouth, a hadith he heard from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). He dictated it to me, and I wrote it down." He said: "So he [Ubaydullah] swore upon me that I should make this packhorse sweat until I brought him the document." He said: "So I rode the packhorse and spurred it until it sweated, and I brought him the document. In it was: 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As narrated to me that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) say: "Indeed, Allah hates obscenity and the seeking of obscenity. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the Hour will not be established until the trustworthy is betrayed and the traitor is trusted, until obscenity and the seeking of obscenity appear, as well as the severing of ties of kinship and the mistreatment of neighbors. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the likeness of the believer is like a piece of gold; its owner blows upon it, yet it does not change and it does not diminish. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the likeness of the believer is like the bee; it eats what is good, produces what is good, and lands [on flowers] without breaking or spoiling them." He said: And he said: "Beware, for I have a Basin, the distance between its two sides is as that between Ayla and Makkah—or he said: San'a and Madinah. In it are pitchers like the stars; it is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst thereafter." Abu Sabrah said: 'Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad took the document, and I was distressed over it. Then Yahya ibn Ya'mar met me, and I complained about that to him. He said: "By Allah, I have memorized it better than I have memorized a Surah of the Qur'an." Then he narrated it to me exactly as it was in the document.
