Musnad Ahmad 28:456

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Al-Awwam informed us, a freed slave of Abdullah ibn Amr narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saw the sun when it set, and he said: "It is in the scorching fire of Allah. Were it not for what restrains it by the command of Allah, it would have destroyed everything upon the earth."
