Musnad Ahmad 28:469

Ishaq ibn Yusuf al-Azraq and Hawdhah ibn Khalifah narrated to us, they said: Awf narrated to us, from Maymun ibn Ustad—Hawdhah said: al-Hazzani—he said: Abdullah ibn Amr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever among my nation wears gold, and dies while wearing it, he shall not wear the gold of Paradise"—and Hawdhah said: "Allah has forbidden the gold of Paradise to him"—"and whoever among my nation wears silk, and dies while wearing it, Allah has forbidden the silk of Paradise to him." Abdullah [ibn Ahmad] said: "My father struck through this hadith, and I thought he struck through it because it was an error, for it is only Maymun ibn Ustad, from Abdullah ibn Amr, and it does not contain: 'from al-Sadafi.' It is said that this Maymun is al-Sadafi, because the hearing of Yazid ibn Harun from al-Jurayri was at the end of his life, and Allah knows best."
