'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, 'Imran al-Qattan narrated to us, 'Amir al-Ahwal narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, that a man said: "So-and-so is my son." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no claim of lineage in Islam."
