Musnad Ahmad 28:501

Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn Fayyad, from Abu Iyad, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Avoid the vessels: the gourd, the pitch-coated jar, and the green earthenware jar." Sharik said: And he mentioned other things. He said: A Bedouin said to him: "We have no other vessels?" He said: "Drink what is lawful, and do not become intoxicated." I repeated it to Sharik, and he said: "Drink, and do not drink that which is intoxicating, or do not become intoxicated."
