Musnad Ahmad 28:514

'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata narrated to us, he said: And Husayn al-Mu'allim narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: When Makkah was conquered for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he said: "Lay down your weapons." He then mentioned the like of the hadith of Yahya and Yazid, and he said in it: "And fulfill the alliances of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic era), for Islam does not increase them except in strength, and do not initiate any new alliances in Islam."
