Musnad Ahmad 28:536

Mu'ammal narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Shahr, from Abdullah ibn 'Amr, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The one who is killed defending his wealth is a martyr."
