'Ali ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Ibn Abi Najih narrated to us, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Amir, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, attributing it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "Whoever does not show mercy to our young and recognize the right of our elder is not of us." 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us—'Abdullah said: I heard it myself from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah—he said: Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from his father, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "While a man was strutting in a garment, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, commanded the earth, so it seized him. He is sinking into it, or he is being dragged down into it, until the Day of Resurrection."
